In response to the tragedy of the Aurora Colorado shootings a local comic book store ALL C’s Collectibles is hosting a Benefit Event for the victims and their families. I can’t attend the event but I asked them if I could donate some books and art to include in their silent auction. I created this poster in honor of three individuals who gave their lives protecting their loved ones. According to news reports Jon Blunk, Matt McQuinn, and Alex Teves died shielding their girlfriends from the gun fire. To be sure their actions are not the only examples of bravery and selflessness to come out of that horrific event but their story touched me and I wanted to do something to honor their memory.
