What’s the deal with tangents? Here’s some advice from the 1940′s Cartooning Course:
“Confusion in a drawing is bad, unless your idea deliberately calls for it. Unfortunate points of contact (visual tangents) in a drawing hit the readers eye the way sour notes hit his ear at a concert.”
