Thanks to a twitter post by @richcbarrett I discovered this article by Jeremy Epstein. I think it really applies to webcomics. What we all want as comic creators is to build a readership. Along with that, more than just making friends, we want to make FANS. What I like about Jeremy’s approach is that, as far as I can tell, it’s based on sincerity. Meaning that the best way to make fans is to be genuine, provide quality content, and make others feel welcome. It’s also important to allow people to collaborate so they get to participate in what you are doing. That seems very well suited for webcomics. Let me know what YOU think…
